As a resource, Hospice of Larimer County has a library of materials related to hospice care and understanding grief issues. The library is located at our office building - 305 Carpenter Road, between Fort Collins and Loveland, off of Carpenter Road.

Books, audio- and videotapes, brochures and other materials are available to check-out at no cost by our patients, their family members and care providers. To access the materials in our library, visit our office building between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and ask at the Reception Desk.

Resources regarding hospice and palliative care are also available on the World Wide Web. The following Web sites are good starting points for information on hospice and palliative care and provide extensive links to related Web sites.

www.hospiceinfo.org - The National Hospice Foundation (NHF), a 501 (C) (3) charitable organization, was created in 1992 to broaden America's understanding of hospice through research and education. Its mission is to expand America's vision for end-of-life care.

www.nhpco.org - The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization is the largest nonprofit organization of hospice and palliative care programs and professionals in the United States.

www.aahpm.org - The American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine is an organization of physicians and other health professionals whose services include education and development of clinical practice standards.
